Why do LCOL ASBVs in a catalogue I am viewing differ from those on the Sheep Genetics website?

Sheep Genetics is currently addressing a known issue affecting the calculation of LCOL ASBVs in MERINOSELECT. Following a data handling change introduced in the 21 August evaluation, an unintended impact on LCOL breeding values was identified. A correction was developed and scheduled for implementation in the 7 September evaluation; however, due to an unforeseen deployment issue, the correction was not successfully applied.

As a result, LCOL ASBVs currently displayed on the Sheep Genetics website may differ from those published in some recent sale catalogues. In many cases, catalogue values may more closely reflect the expected LCOL ASBVs once the correction is applied. The issue has now been identified and the correction will be included in the next MERINOSELECT evaluation.
